Football is the best thing to have happened to mankind

There is simply nothing that can beat the beauty of this game... one can fall in love while playing or even watching the game!

The emotions while receiving an aerial pass and 2 opponents on you...

... First you want to take it on chest and then on your foot and a small tap to move away from the opponents..
... but soon you rather decide to take it directly on inner foot and try to loop it over one of the opponents.. to win it back or to pass to some team-mate..
... In case you are closer to the goal.. you might also feel like punching the damn ball hard to the goal..

But if you keep on feeling and thinking the ball will be gone.. so you got to act fast and you got to keep the ball rolling in the right direction!!.. it's amazing.

And.. I am back!

Yeah.. it has been a real long time but I have a lot to share.. enough to make you say 'better late than never!'

So, last blog was from Indy.. got back to delhi from the 3 week long trip and everything was looking gr8. New practice area (targeting), good manager...I welcomed 2010 with lot of enthu and josh.. and then the inevitable happened!

The cool project bacame a monthly operation.. team mgmt changed and in came the operations experts.. (the new vision of the firm wanted an increase in operations for higher revenues... alright!!).. So,I had to stay back - being the only analyst who knew the process.
Monthly operational projects suck... more so if you are understaffed... I tried my best to leave the project but just could not transition enuf knowledge to my replacement given all the adhocs and exponentially increasing demands of the client..

I was getting very frust with the situation.. escalated the emotions to senior people on project and in the firm.. had lot of confronting moments with the 'operations experts'.. but all in vain!... Time had come... it was end of Mar'10

I got back to my resume after 3 years... and was soon being interviewed.. Apr end I got the 'niceee' offer from a good retail analytics firm.. and June first week I left my first ever firm .. after 3 looong years.. it was a very sad feeling!!.. I had plans in the firm but He (abey God not the operations expert :p) had other plans!

Soon, I was in the new firm.. staring at the screen and my new email box!.. my identity changed over one weekend!.. though I am sure the core is intact.. Naresh Mehta,ME02B102, IIT Madras!.. this firm is kind of chill.. good work-life (= Nidhi) balance.. good work.. football team.. and steady growth!!.. life continues...
